Its all been getting too much...

I haven't blogged for sooooo long. I haven't scrapped.  I haven't done anything crafty at all :0(
I've been feeling very down and work has really been stressing me out. I have not taken my own good advice and instead of letting things wash over me, I have been getting carried away - taken away on the tide of many things.
I really have felt lost :0(
But I'm feeling better (yay!!), not 100% back to me yet, but getting there.

Missing my curls already!!!

I spent HOURS curling my hair yesterday afternoon. We were going out to a gig and I wanted to look extra pretty. I am soooo happy with how my curls turned out but just wish they stayed after I've washed my hair!!!!

Playing with Picasa

I love the photo mosaics that people have been uploading onto the Love Your Pictures forum. After a quick question there lots of lovely people directed me to Picasa which I have now downloaded and have been playing with.

I've been busy!!

As you can see from the following photos - I have been busy enjoying Shimelle's latest course!
These were created using sketches from Prompt's 4 and 5. I just LOVE Shimelle's style and love to use sketches by her!

Hope you like them! I'm really happ with them although the photos aren't great!

Favourite day...

A while ago Shimelle asked us what our favourite day of the year was and to blog about it. Rather than blogging about my favourite day of the year though, I thought I'd blog about my favourite day of the week!
TUESDAYS!!! I LOVE TUESDAYS!!
Tuesdays are my day off! Although I actually work full time (well 37 hours a week), the way I work my hours (with a 10 hour day and every other Saturday - sob!) means I get every Tuesday off - YAY!! My lovely man is at work on Tuesdays so it is MY day, to spend how I want, and I love it!
I generally do the boring stuff as quickly as I can so I can spend as many hours as possible in my Craft shed.
Its such a simple day of nothing particularly special going on, but it really helps me to ground myself, and soak myself with things that I love.
This Tuesday I spent many hours trying to learn how to hold a golf club and hit a golf ball (hmmmm, more practice required, and while I can see this could be fun, it will not be my number one love!!!!) I also spent lots of time snapping away in the garden and learning how to deliberately over and under expose, and doing some catch up scrapping. Bliss!

New class starting tomorrow - and I'm very excited!!

Look what I just bought!

I've just found this wonderful journal in the local trinket shop. Although I could have copied the idea and made my own I decided to just buy it and add my own touches to it as I fill it in!
It will be perfect to help with our house project- once we finally get it started!!

I went out to watch the band last night. It was the first gig that I had organised and it was great! Feel a bit tender today- am getting too old to be out until 1 and work the next day!!!

Its been ages!!!

I haven't blogged for soooo long (well, it feels like ages for me, but I think its only a week!)
I've had a WONDERFUL weekend away with my very special friend and her lovely family and have come back all refreshed and perky! Although, to be fair I was kind of refreshed and perky after a wonderful week in Wales with my other precious soul friend before that, but hey! You can't have too many holidays!!!!)
Work has been fairly manic this week (well, this month! Phew!) and I am so far behind with crafty things that I could sob a little bit if I think about it, sooooooo...
I'm not going to think about it!! I'm going to get things done as soon as I can without making myself ill worrying about things! I have CJ deadlines that have already past etc but I'm sure people understand that sometimes life gets in the way of scrapping ;0)

So, what is the last thing with all these things I have to do and the severe lack of time I have to do them in??? A new hobby! Guess what I may have...a new hobby!!
I say may have as the 'hobby' is golf, which is my OH's true love!! He tried to teach me a few years ago but I don't like it. He now loves it ore than ever and I have become less inclined to loathe is as I once did! So in a show of love and understanding I have a set of second hand clubs on the way and promised to give it a try.  I do nto expect it to be my one true love, but it would be nice to pop out for a game in the sunshine with im occasionally! I will DEFINATELT be a fair-weather golfer! IF I can get to gribs (literally) with holding the clubs and hitting the ball where I tell it to go!
