I've had a busy week this week with lots going on at work and lots oftidting and throwing things into a skip to prepare for our extension.
I've finally got my house scrapbook up to date. I'm using the Pink Paislee album and varied page protectors. I bought this last year fot One Little Word, but as I dodn't do as well on that project as I'd hoped I wanted to use it for something better.
Here it is so far... ... ...
The first page:
The second page shows the plans and includes journaling and more plans tucked behind a transparency. The facing page in the album is all the building reg info we will need as work begins. I wanted this to be a working scrapbook!!
I used the split page protector to document the dramas of getting a mortgage extension to pay for the work:
And to document tidying the garage using Instax photos!
I'm liking this scrapbook already :-)

Pages from the past week
I've been enjoying making a dent in my back log of kits this week!!
Here are a few of my favourite pages~
This one is called JOY:
The next on is Oh How I Love Radlab. All about my new found toy Radlab and my adoration for it!!
I had a severe lack of decent large letters in this kit and I am really strict with myself and don't like to add too much to a kit. I'm not sure the yellow letters reall work, but I'll cope with them!
This one was lifted straight from Shimelle's final 6x4 Photo Love class over at Two Peas. It is 2011 in review and actually holds over 12 photos and journaling for each month. I love it. I used a whole kit of papers and most of the embellishments on this one layout!
Hope you like these :0)
I'm planning on showing my layouts from the week before each Monday so keep an eye out ;0)
xoxo

Hello Mojo...where have you been all year?!
I have FINALLY found my scrapping mojo!! It's a little dusty for being all neglected but is alive and well :0)
Over the past 2 weeks I have attacked and destroyed my backlog of kits and created lots of layouts. Yippie! I feel like me again!
WARNING- PHOTO HEAVY FROM HERE!!!!

A layout celebrating my childhood!

A double page spread for Shimelle's free 6x4 Photo Love course. Below are the pages separately:

From our holiday. I am loving working with smaller prints at the moment. They're patricularly great when the photo quality isn't top notch!!!

As you can see from the next layouts, I am continuing to love Hipstamatic photos!!

Not that keen on this Ludlow layout :0(

The first of what will be many layouts from my brother-n-laws wedding last year! The bride wore black so tis allow for some great alternative layouts!!

The following two layouts are back to back on a double sided piece of pattered paper as I loved both sides so much I couldn't chose between them. Woudl you believe these are only the 3rd and 4th layouts in my 2011 scrapbook (Oh, the shame!!)

And thats it for now lovely blog land.
PS/ the photos appear all blurry and I'm nto sure why :0( I'm having bad experiences with uploading via Blogpress on my Ipad. Anyone got any advice????

Retreating into my creativity...
I've been feeling a little low this week after my dental work and an infection I picked up.
I've had a few days off to sleep it off but this afternoon I felt up to scrapping a little.
I am joining in with a class over at Big Picture Classes called Creative Retreat held by the incredibly talented May. I signed up for this class weeks ago and am sooo happy it has now started! As part of this class I started the Art Journal I showed the other day.
The journal started as a lovely Victoria Francis diary that Kei bought me for Crimbo:
The diary was beautiful but just not something I wanted (I had already bought 2 diaries for myself).
Its is now a lovely altered book as I cover each page with gesso and paint it up.
I've created this page for my first notes for class:

I've create a few lovely layouts as I have ridden the wave of creativity class has inspired.
This layout is for the Scrapbook Stamping class over at Two Peas. The challenge was to use embossing on your layout. Something I rarely do:
And finally a page from our holiday in August. I picked up a bumper pack of printed photos yesterday so can now scrap like a loony!!!

Scrap, scrap, scrap!!
Well, I've been busy over the last couple of days catching up on photos from December that I wanted to scrap.
I am joining in with Shimelle's 6x4 Photo Love class over at Two Peas. As part of the class we will be moving from one 6x4 photo up to 12 throughout the year. Shimelle gave a nice simple sketch this month and examples of a couple of pages she had made using this sketch.
Here's my layout for class:
I love this layout and the sketch it came from is so versatile I can see me making several layouts from it.
Here is a second layout I did. The papers are from the December GoGo Kit. Crate Paper and matching brads{swoon}:
And finally another page made using a sketch of Shimelle's. She is doing a sketch a week project over on her blog.

Today I looked to the past and planned for the future!
I had a lovely day scrapping today.
First I celebrated my childhood with a wonderful photo from 1983. I used a sketch from Shimelle's new weekly sketch series.
My second project isn't that great a layout, BUT it is really important to me. It is a page documenting our decision to move forward with our extension. It may look a little odd without photos but I wanted our own words to be the focus. With this in mind we each wrote our thoughts on a tag.
