My One Little Word for 2010 is...

I spotted a quick rerminder about the One Little Word concept over on Ali Edward's blog.

Hmmmmmmmm, thats food for thought!! :0)

Exciting launch of new templates over at Liberty Cottage - 100% of sales going to charity!

Kate over at Liberty Cottage has been working on some fun page templates for a while now. So far she has been giving them away as prizes on her blog, which has been great for the winners (I have been a lucky winner so know how good that feels!!!!) but gutting for those other people who really want the chance to play!!
Well, now we can!!
She is selling her elements for (get this) 75p each!!!! What an amazing price for some great page templates!

Here is what Kate has to say about the project:

Liberty Elements is a digital scrapbooking range which has a selection of fully layered templates that are named after elements in the periodic table (to be kooky and to fit in with my mad scientist (read:geek) background).

Liberty Elements donates 100% of the profit directly to charity. I do not make a penny on any of the templates sold from this blog.
I have selected Macmillan Cancer Support as the beneficiary charity. After a close family member was diagnosed with cancer, this charity was there for us at the hardest and lowest points of our lives. They were there to help the patient and the family, and I'd just like to be able to give something back.
The charity works across the United Kingdom, and whilst I appreciate many of you who will visit me here are not from the UK, I hope that you will dig deep and support this charity that is very close to my heart.

There are 10 great templates to choose from at the moment,  but Kate will be giving away more on her blog. Click here to pop over to her blog and take a look!! As part of the launch there is an amazing giveaway where one lucky winner will win ALL TEN current templates!!

BY 2010

This is the second month of BY2010.  Kate over at Liberty Cottage who came up with the idea. This month's BY2010 has been hosted by K over at K's Crafty Corner.
This was the sketch that K gave us:

I actually followed the sketch to the letter this time, which is unusual for me. I normally go a little crazy with one. But I just loved everything about this one! Anywhere, here's what I did with it:

Night-time scrapping?????

I hate not finding time to scrap when I have been at work all day. By the time I have cooked, eaten, washed up etc Its fairly late and I don't tend to start scrapping as a) the light isn't great and b) I know that if I start I am unlikely to ever stop and then will never go to bed!!
I started digi scrapping briefly. This meant I could scrap at nights and easily stop mid-layout. Trouble is, it just doesn't 'do it' for me. Does anyone know what I mean??
So, has anyone got any advice? Shall I just put up with longing but not scrapping at night?? This would leave my weekends (Well, Sundays every other week as I have to work) and my blissful, wonderful Tuesdays.
WHAT can I do to feel scrappy without getting too involved and also without getting lost staring at the laptop for hours.
Heeeeeellllllppppp!!! I want to use my new found mojo as much as possible!!!!

Old Skool Stash

I joined in with Kate's Old Skool Stash Blog Hop again this month. I used some papers that were in a quick kit that I bought ages ago. I haven't used them as, frankly, I think they are very boring compared to the pretty papers you can buy today. They are also very very thin and didn't feel very nice.
HOWEVER, a lovely photo, a few very old embellishments and an open mind can work wonders!! Here is my page:
I hope you like it! Pop over to Furry Pig's Blog to see the next page in the hop.

If anyone gets lost, here is the full list of blogs in the hop, in the correct order!!
***my blog!***

Enjoy the hop!!
