Today's layouts

I used up the last of my April GoGo kit today. I am so excited to start with the May kit as I have loads of photos that suit the colours!
The first layout I did today used a sketch handed out at the last evening crop by Deb. I was really happy with how the page was going until I decided to stitch the swirl rather than using paper! I then hated the layout and spent ages adding extra stitching, distressing and making paper flowers!! I'm happy with it in the end but it's still not quite what I had hoped for:

The second layout is possibly a bit too simple, but after the trauma of the stitching I wanted to keep it that way!!!

I was very sensible and have tidied my craft room so it's spotless. I then unpacked my May GoGo kit onto my work space in anticipation of a three day weekend! It's so pretty, I can't wait to get started!

Hi there! Loving the Hipstamatic photos - I feel the love of the Hipstamatic all the time too!

Great layouts with the April kit - I haven't even broken into mine yet - your take on Deb's sketch is lovely - I like the swirly stitching and the flowers! So pretty. And the simpler one is lovely too.

You sound very organised to have cleared out so that you can start on May's kit. I just have them all stacked up! Looking forward to what you come up with.

I think if the "At One" layout wasn't good before you worked on it some more, that you did a very impressive rescue job! It is now lovely! I like the stitched swirl, the way it overlaps the layered papers, the little pearly beads peeping through the torn patch, the various paper flowers... It's a good layout!
I also like the "Peaceful Day" layout very much. There is nothing wrong with Simple - and this one is definitely not "too simple". It is well designed and nicely made. The photos are given centre-stage and the papers and embellishments enhance them very nicely. It's great!

I like your scrapping style, especially that you're not afraid to experiment and that you like colour. I really like to come to your blog and see another fabby layout for me to admire.
