I love weekends when I don't work on a Saturday! I spent yesterday doing the housework and playing with Photoshop Elements and my Selphy printer. Then today I had NOTHING to do but scrap! Bliss!
I did my Project Life for the week. I'm still not quite in love with my style where this project is concerned. I put off starting PL in this format last year as I didn't have a 'proper' core kit. Then once it arrived in time for this year I thought it would be easy to do, and I can see how it can be. BUT I have already fallen out of love with my core kit! And it's only week 3!!!! I find it really restrictive to try and use just the kit, or even just the colours contained within the kit. That's just not how my scrappy brain works! So I've decided to use the kit ( what a waste if I didn't!), but to mix things up a bit. I will use a different colour scheme each week but make sure I have one of the 4 colours from the core kit as part of that colour scheme.
So here are this weeks pages. Due to the excitement that a bit of snow always causes in the UK I and a lot of extra photos this week so I included an insert page protector as well as the double that I am using per week. These pics are copied from my Instagram feed (I just LOVE the Lo-Fi filter!)
After I had completed my PL spread I used the sketch from Shimelle's Sketch to Scrapbook challenge to create my first page using my Studio Calico kit. I will definitely be subscribing to this kit as it is WONDERFUL!
Again, my pic here is from Instagram! Sorry!!! Here is Shimelle's sketch:
And here is my page:
I hope everyone stays warm and safe in the snow.
xoxo

Love you pages and interpretation of Shimelles sketch. I off to do mine! Oh! and love snow too. Yay for a little here in the UK.
Very nice layout and true to Shimelle's sketch. I also appreciate your struggles with Project Life. I've been tempted to buy the core kits many times but thought it would be too restrictive, I think you convinced me not to buy one. How are you getting along with Photoshop Elements? I just purchased PSE11 and have been playing around with it as well.
Yor PL pages are lovely! I read that you use a Selphy to print your pics. Could you please let me know how you handle the smaller size (it prints not exactly 4x6")? Does it bother you? Thanks and greetings from Switzerland.
